Online Business Accounting
Looking at where your money goes and where it comes from. Accounting is much more than a legal obligation.

Lets assume you make the money using third party tools such as Clickbank and that to run your business you use your own website plus you use some advertising networks and site promotion tools. You need to track your sales on one side and on the other you need to track all other numbers. Most of the times the number of items in the income sheet is much small than the number in the expense chart but hopefully the numbers in the income sheet are much bigger, much greener than the expense ones.

Ok, you can do your own tool with any Spreadsheet such as Excel or Google Docs or you can go professional and opt for a really pro tool. Some of them are free, others however need you to pay either annually or a version of the product just one time. Microsoft Accouting tool is the best one I have tried so far. Not only you have Microsoft behind it, you can also see in many ways how your business is performing. For example, you can make each post a product, which in fact it really is a product, and then you can see the costs and the profitability of that product and then you can choose either to keep it or to cut loose.
On the other hand you can also see which kind of products are the most profitable ones and no one needs to tell you to focus on the development of similar products. This is called success duplication. It works perfectly when well done, basically you assume that what worked on the past will work on the future too.
Accounting tools are probably the best way to know if your business is healthy or not and what changes you need to do in order to improve it’s “fitness”. You are the doctor, the business is the patient and the software is the X-Ray machine and the office is the room.
Clickbank does not yet allow you to develop your own software to interact with the site, however some advertising networks allow such thing and you can integrate those numbers with your own software, or you can just focus on what you do best like I said in my previous article.
