Those who are satisfied with themselves by thinking that there should be other things in life more beneficial than the luck of being good looking will be disappointed.A study conducted by the University of California and published in “Journal of Economic Psychology” reveal that people that are considered to be beautiful are those who are paid better, informs “The Independent”.

Thus, people with an attractive appearance earn with 12% more than the ones being less attractive physically. The main reason that explains this remuneration difference is that ‘beautiful’ persons are perceived as being more friendly and dedicated to others than those having a less agreeable appearance.

In the study conducted by the University of California, were selected three groups of subjects who met the main features of perceptions over the physical attractiveness. Thus, their behavior was monitored and, in the same time, researchers have analyzed their wage evolution.

“Attractive people earn more money than the less attractive, which in turn earn more money than those that are even less attractive than them.’concluded the researchers.

Also, those who have made the study added that the measurements took into account individuals from various companies and various jobs.

Thus, the study results have shown that attractive people are considered to be dedicated to others in proportion of approximately 39%, while less attractive people are perceived as having this attribute in proportion of 16%. Unattractive people obtained at the same category a score of only 6%.

Also, researchers have found that beautiful people tend to join the successful teams developed inside companies, due to the positive perception that the others have on them.

“It is quite unpleasant to find out that the workplace is some kind of beauty competition,’ said Catherine Kaputa, specialist in work strategy.

Because someone is attractive we unconscientious tend to associate him more positive attributes, which finally end up by having no connection with that person’s appearance.

Thus, to help all people, Catherine Kaputa thought a successful 5 steps strategy, that refers to the dressing style, attitude, originality and behavior and, the most important, to honesty and ability to accept critical opinions about yourself.
