The Control of Energy Resources: The Curie Model
The control of energy has been facilitated by the Pierre and Marie Curie. Energy is an important issue of all times.
Not many couples have successed like Pierre and Marie Curie in creating inventioned that have made the life of populations easier and rewarding. Pierre Curie is from former Chekoslovekia and Marie Curie is from Poland . Most inventors have had to flee persecution and this is the case of Marie Curie like most nobles from Poland who had to live their countries.
There was an example of this in the movie in which Barbara Streisand played which was Yentl. Pierre and Marie Curie invented the radium which is used to produce energy for lightining and in industries for example. They lived in France and one of the universities of France has the name of Pierre and Marie Curie.
It is thanks to Pierre and Marie Curie that energy can be available at a reasonable price. Marie Curie received the nobel peace prize in physics. Pierre and Marie Curie are an example of courage and dedication. Thanks to them we knew how well they worked to bring the Eastern Culture to the world. Coal mine, water, wind, sun are natural resources which can help to produce energy.
Coal mine was available in large quantity in the United Kingdom and Luxembourg . One nice example of this is the pot of tea boiling on a kitchen stove and a knitted cloth around it. Water is also a source of energy. When boiled the water can produce thermic energy. Many houses in wood used thermic energy. There are also dams which have been built of falls like the Lake Victoria Falls in Uganda . Wind is a natural resource of energy from Holland . Wind sends seeds all over and the land becomes fertile. Solar energy is not very well developed. Solar energy and oil energy as well as gaz have been having problems because of desertification.
The World Bank has made a campaign of planting trees for the climate for example. Most countries have planted trees and the Brazilian model is always fascinating with the Amazon forest.
Brazil has become a multicultural society like South Africa and Canada . Trees are also used for housing. In order to build sustainable house trees have to be well planted. Energy have to be reproduced. That is a hard task to achieve.
