Man to Businessman

Businessman in a layman language is a person who does business. There are millions of people in the world who do business. But, not everyone is able to make recognition as Microsoft, TATA, Google, etc. have got.

There are two classes of businessman, one who can make impossible possible and second who can make possible impossible.

Those who can make impossible possible generally emerge are Global Leaders but others just emerge as Followers.

Why is it that some people are leaders while others are not?

Why is it that not everyone can make impossible possible?

These and many more similar questions have same answer that it all depends on the attitude of a person who is doing business.

The problem which they all face is same. It’s just that their approaches to tackle such problems are different. But, some approaches are good for short term, some are good for long term, some are good for nothing and some are unexpected, but there would be only one approach which will be the best and would take the person to the maximum success.

For example:

Let’s take example of current recession suffered by the global economy. Now, some of the approaches followed are:

1. Cut down profit margin
2. Cut down manpower
3. Become dormant
4. Become aggressive
5. Some extremely radical or unexpected steps

Now, if anyone just follows anyone of the strategies (except strategy 5) might not be able to get some extraordinary results. Yes, most probably they all might survive the recession, but then just survival won’t help you much. It is these tough situations which generally change the equations and can change the destiny of whole company. These situations clearly identify the global leader from the follower. This also gives a chance to the companies to show their real brains and power, since in these situations almost companies have similar situations. It’s just that the level of the problem is different. For, some the problem might be just national but for some it is international depending on whether they are working at national level or international level.

So, if you want to know in which company to invest then look out for its approach during such situations as this will define the age of the company.
