Building a relationship with a client can sometimes be hard. I mean you have probably never met them before so you know nothing about them and that sometimes can be a little daunting. But if you get it right then your job becomes so much easier. Use these tips to do just that.
- Be personally available to your client. The client doesn’t just want you to just be a business friend, they want it to be more personal than that.
- Let your clients know how much you appreciate them. Every client loves to hear how much you appreciate them and people don’t say it enough. You be that person that makes your client feel appreciated.
- Follow up existing customers to see if they are happy. See old clients and make sure you are doing a good job. Take constructive crticism on board and make sure if you made a mistake that you don’t make it twice.
- Keep in contact with the client. Keeping contact shows signs that you respect them and want to know them better.
- Send updates on your business. Not only will they know what’s going on with your business but they will appreciate you going out of your way to do something for them.
- Try to achieve what others don’t. Clients will be happy if you can give them things that the opposition can’t. This will also boost your friendship and help you gain more clients.
- Give outstanding client service. Do a good job with what they need. This will help you become better friends as they will want to see you more often.
Remember this though, not all clients will want to be your friends. Don’t worry about these ones though as they won’t be a positive for your business.
