How to Make Money Fast From Selling Household Possessions

So I recently found a reason to make a lot of money in a short time.  I was unable to obtain a second job, and I want to make thousands of dollars as quickly as possible, which a mere second job might not be able to do.

The first thing I have done is list all the items I have in my possession that can be sold for $1 000 or more, and have listed them on Gumtree.  Craigslist would be a good option, too, but I don’t have the right location for it.

That’s what I’m doing this week, all the items that would sell for $1000 or more.  For example, our camper trailer, and our unused second car, plus a couple of antiques.

Next week, I’ll go through my possessions again and list everything that will sell for $100 or more.  Examples would be unwanted pieces of furniture such as our now almost grown kids’ bunk beds, unused  jewellery, camping equipment, and so on.  I also have several collectible first edition books that will be going.

Once that’s all gone, I’ll then go through the possessions again and list all items that are likely to get $10 or more.  That would be items such as small appliances, car manuals and parts, and so on.

Gumtree is going to be seeing a lot of me.  Anything that doesn’t sell on there, will go on eBay, to sell for whatever I can get above .99 cents.  I’m going to Gumtree first as it’s free, no fees at all.

Also, my friend is having a garage sale in the next few weeks. I’ll be dragging as much stuff there as I can to sell.

Even if I don’t achieve my ultimate financial target, we’ll be in a much better financial position the next time the reason comes around; and I’ll have a much tidier home and shed.  This will be a major declutter over the next couple of months!
