Very fine line between Loan Sharks and reputable lenders.

We received this unwanted solicitation from Continental Loans in Roswell, New Mexico. Not sure, but I think Pre-Selected ranks lower than Pre-Approved in loan shark parlance. The unreadable fine print at the bottom indicates that Pre-Selected means loans will only be made for new customers with a verifiable ability to repay. Continental Loans claims to be celebrating their annual customer appreciation day. What they are actually celebrating is that the world is full of people who have maxed out their credit cards, are behind on their home mortgage, have sky high medical bills, paying college tuition or paying back student loans, etc!

Their marketing slogan is “Our staff is Friendly, Our Service is Fast, and We Like to Say Yes!” Of course they like to say yes if they can gouge you with high interest rates that you can not afford. Also understand that they will run a credit check on you which will further decrease your credit score.

Just be aware that the piggy banks you see on this “Need Money?” Advertisement are not yours. They are filling up with the high interest rates you are paying Continental Loans!
