What is the difference between an organized effort and a not organized effort?

Organization is the first celestial rule – this was told by one of the greatest Portuguese priests of all time and it’s true indeed. When you work with organization, with scheduled tasks and the right amount of resources for each task, your day feels much better than when you work in the middle of the mud.

How organization can improve your business?

  1. You know exactly what you have to do. Improvement is done by cutting the non essentials, not by adding more. Follow your brain’s example, cut all the unnecessary connections and improve the ones with the most usage. Bruce Lee shares the same opinion.
  2. Organization will make you take the first step. Most of the times you do not know where to start building your castle or empire. It’s normal. Something small is always easy to do, now something huge… that’s another story. Use a project management tool to get a serious advantage over competition. This tool will not only show you your path, but also how many “kilometers” you already traveled and your overall timeline progress. This tool will not stress you with the deadline. Instead it will boost your morale to finish before the deadline.
  3. Online is the way to go. Forget about desktop tools. They are suited only for very heavy tasks such as video edition (and not for a long time). You can already do image edition online and video soon, I bet Youtube will make some moves here. No more worrying about privacy, security and backups and costs are almost zero.
  4. To Do lists are the old fashioned way to do things. Today you need mind maps. You do not have just one way to go so you need to make a mind map to decide one path or another. If one does not work, you do not hit your hear against the wall until you either break the wall or the head, you just skip the rock.
