Placing keywords at all the right places is the key to on-page optimization. Learn this deceptively simple technique to optimize every page of your website for better search engine positioning.
Titles can be a bit of confusing term to web designers. Page title or article title will be the question. The answer is both.
Page titles, article titles and sub titles of a web page play a significantly important role in search engine optimization.
Web Page Title for Search Engine Optimization
This is more to search engines than to real visitors. This is the first point where search engine spiders look to determine what the page is about. This title comes within title “” tag in header “<head>” section. </p> <p>Between <head> and </head> tags, you can place a title tag like </p> <p><title>’Keywords’ from “company name”
Replace “Keywords” with one keyword or keyphrase that you focus and “company name” with your company name.
Sometimes people make it awkward by squeezing in different keywords, making meaningless phrases. Don’t do it. The best option is to make a short sentence with one or two keywords. If you think so, you can avoid the company name, but leaving the company name gives good impression to visitors.
Article Titles and Sub Titles for Search Engine Optimization
Google looks at the titles inside a page too. Article titles, subtitles within the article highlighted with header tags or bold tags tell Google the page is about the keyword highlighted with header or bold tags.
The key here is to bring in keywords in the header tags [h1, h2, h3, b and strong].
You see why I use the key phrase SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION two times in the sub titles of this article.
Use of titles in this manner also allow visitors to easily skim through the page and quickly locate the item they want. Titles and subtitles give the feeling that the page is clearly organized in a hierarchical order.
That is the image you want to create, nah? The image that you run an organized business and place the elements that your visitors may be interested at all the right locations.
