Paypal is  e-wallet site. E-wallet site means that you can keep some money in your electronic wallet and spend it electronically. Well, before registering in Paypal, you are given three choice to determine your account type according to your own preference namely Personal, Premier and Business.

These are the simple key points about Paypal Fees:

Personal, Premier and Business accounts all have the same transaction fees. 

  • Paypal does not charge you for sending money. It’s free when money is flown out from your account
  • Paypal charges a the transaction fee when you receive money.
  • For purchase purposes, you are charged between 1.9% to 2.9%(of the total amount) + USD$0.30.
  • For personal transfer purposes, you are charged 2.9%(of the total amount) + USD$0.30.
  • However, you are not charged a single cent when you send/receive money from your Paypal balance
