Learning to drive is an important part of living in the United States.

I have worked in the driving business in New Hampshire for about five years now.  Our driving school is  the oldest and largest in the state. We also competed and won the AMVET trophy in 1986, 1988, and 1990 for the title of “New Hampshire’s Safest Teenage Driver. The driving school has been featured on TV and in newspapers many times. Throughout my time at the driving school I have learned a lot and enjoy my job tremendously, especially working with the students.

In my job I come across many people from all over the world and with each student that enrolls my knowledge grows. We not only tech them but they also have lots to share with all of us.

Most of our teen students are 15 1/2 and need to complete drivers education to be able to apply for a license, but we also cater to adults of all ages and races. They come to us from around the world and all for the same reason, to learn how to drive.

My experiences has opened my mind and my heart to many who have gone through a lot. Refugees from Africa, who by the way, may or may not have even seen a car let alone learn to drive one. People from India who drive on the left side of the road not on the right as we do in the States. Many of our students do not even speak English, but we believe where there is a will there is a way and somehow we get them through the process and get them ready to go for their license.

Our instructors are well trained professionals and  are very patient and talented people. A couple of them speak a minimal amount of Spanish which helps those who are not fluent in English. We also have one instructor who can understand and speak a bit of Malay because his wife is from Malaysia.

One of the girls who works in the office as I do also speaks a bit of French which has helped a lot with some of the refugees from Africa. None of them speak English but with her help and  we have got their tests done and on their way they go to enter a brand new way of thinking and living.

Where I come from driving is very important. I live in a city but it is not a big city and the city buses only are around a few hours a day. The only other way to get around for those without a license is to take a cab. Now cabs can be very expensive so for many that is not an option. Driving is so important to achieve their independence.

Our school has many options for class days and times and we even have weekend classes for all those students who are into sports or are working during the week. We are also very competitive with our prices and we do cater to those with special needs such as students who are coded and have trouble reading. Our testing can be done orally with our expert staff.

So if you need to learn how to drive why not stop by and sign up for one of our services. You can also check out our class dates and times on our website.

If you already hold a license be safe out there, the roads are crazy and dangerous. If you are looking for information across the Country please visit Drivered.
