1. Learn more about a company
Knowledge is power. When you know more about a company, you will show more confidence spontaneously. Use the Internet to conduct a detailed research beforehand to boost your confidence.
2. Learn more about the applied title
Understand the job nature in advance is helpful. Interviewee will generate more relevant answers and positive responses. The chance to get the job increases when the interviewer recognizes your solid knowledge.
3. Find out your strength
Apply self-examination to find out your strength. You can also refer to other’s good comments. Be selective and precise, i.e. mentioned only those strengths that are valid to the job and start with the most convincing ones.
4. Find out your weakness
Interviewers want to know an applicant’s weakness. Be prepared to answer when asked. Learn your weakness from self-criticism and other people’s comments. Talk with honesty and be smart to alleviate the negative impact. Briefly mention the practical solution you are adopting suggests the desire to improve and if presented well, your weakness will become low-impact.
5. Be punctual
Always arrive at least 20 minutes earlier to fill in forms and take any tests if required. After completing all the tasks, use the remaining time to calm down and be stress free.
6. Dress properly
Correct dress code suggests you understand the job nature and related expectations. Interviewers tend to believe the candidate can conform to the company’s environment easier. Don’t under or overdress. No sexy, torn or worn-out clothing. All these arouse unnecessary attention and stir the harmony in an office.
7. Be clean and tidy
Cleanliness and tidiness are a must. They demonstrate candidate’s respect to the company and the ability to care for oneself. And it is easier for the interviewer to believe this respect and care will extend to the new job.
8. Be vital
Look fresh and sit properly in an interview. Every company looks for vitality to fill in the vacancy and add value. Dullness and slackness suggest a lack of energy and self-revival ability, which are disadvantages in competing for a job.
