Are We Feeling The Bite of The Crunch Yet?
Being affected by the credit crunch.
For those working and earning 30K plus, life is quite comfortable. You can buy that sexy red dress which will make you look stunning or another pair of patent black high shoes to make you look that extra bit taller and slimmer. Girl you are looking ‘So Fine’ is I may quote from Sean Paul’s latest track single. For the fellas out there, I’ve seen you eyeing up that crisp 3 piece suit and thinking will my belly look thin in this?’
But for those without a job, life could not be more miserable. Everything you want to do involves money which you don’t have. If you are a shopaholic like myself then life would not be more painful. The latest designs have just hit the shops now and you sadly have to turn away from them, even though the item is streaming your name and shouting buy me, buy me, buy me.
Sitting at home sending your CV on all the job-sites going is not much fun either when you are getting the sad reply:
Thank you for your interest in the above position. Unfortunately, I have received applications from candidates whose experience more closely match my client's specific requirements. I will not, therefore, be progressing your application on this occasion.
or worst no reply at all. Feeling depressed you drag yourself to the jobcentre to receive your £60 a week.
Your grateful but it can hardly put a dent in your escalating bills. At times you feel like throwing yourself under a bus, but what joy would that do.
Your problems just becomes another persons problem. You dont want charity just a job so you can pay you’re own way in society. Is that too much to ask? Well follow my weekly journey to see if I can beat the credit crunch by finding work in this trying time.
And for those who want to help, I am looking to be an IT Apprentice.
