Trying to over come the credit crunch.

Each month millions more people are losing their jobs. While I was travelling on the bus to meeting my Mum after she finished work, I over heard a telephone conversation. Call me nosy if you choice, however I really think it epitomises the current situation.

She said and I quote, ‘Mat got fired today, because he failed his exams. He has a new born baby and three other kids to support as well. I failed too, but luckily for me though I didn’t lose my job. But I really have to revise like crazy. I don’t know what I’ll do if I was fired’.

When I discussed the conversation with my Mum all she said was ‘the state would provide’. Callus, but true. The thing is for those who don’t want to be in that situation, it’s hard to deal with. I know because I am currently in the same boat.

However, things are on the up though. I have managed to secure a voluntary job in the meantime to keep my brain working so to speak. I attended two interviews and I am waiting like a drug addict to see whether they will ask me to come for a second interview. Keep your fingers, your legs and everything else crossed for me.

Well the moral of the story is this. I hope Mat and all who are in the same boat. Believe me there is light at the end of the tunnel. Well I hope so. Look forward next week to the next page in my journey at beating the Credit Crunch.
