The code.

In everything we do in life they all require some sort of etiquette.  The biggest thing we do in life which is working require a heavy duty of etiquette.  If you think blue jeans, slang, long curling under nails, nasty attitude is gonna cut it.  Please think it over before going in for an interview. If by chance you have an employer that hires you, good luck.  I was in an orientation recently for office position personnel.  New employees.  I was astonished at what I saw.  They are lucky that I wasn’t the one hiring them because maybe one out of the 9 people I would have hired.  All 9 people were cheating on the basic assessment test. The way they dressed was inappropriate.

The Do Nots for Men:

Do Not show up dress up in a nice slacks, shirt and tie with a beanie hat and not taking it off.

Do Not have half your dreads missing, or hair messed up.

Do Not have your dressed pants hanging off your butt like you are hanging out with your friends.

Do Not have sneakers on with the suit.

Do Not come in talking like you just came off the street.

Do Not have long finger nails.

Do Not come in drunk or high. Most companies do drug screening now a days.

The Do Nots for Women:

Do not come in with your Friday night club clothes on.

Do Not have those long curling under finger nails.  Need to take a speed typing test for clerical positions.

Do Not come in with hair everywhere.

Do Not show up thinking its a time for socializing, even filing out an application is work.

Do Not wear lots of make up and jewelry.

Do Nots for both men and women:

Do Not wear jeans.

Do Not have a group cheat session on your basic skills test.

Do Not have attitudes.

If you follow the do nots you should be fine.  You never know who is watching you.  Make a great first impression.  Do not make the employer feel like they are taking a chance.  Prove to them you are the asset to the company.
