Holding an Employment Interview
This is an article on holding an employment interview.
The interview needs to be professional. Men should wear coat and ties; Women should wear corresponding suits. You need to come across to the interviewee that your business is professional. Make a stellar first impression.
Look at the applicant’s resume during the interview and ask relevant questions about their expertise. I like to look at a candidate’s demeanor during the interview. Does the candidate come across as shaky? unsettled? bothersome? Notice ticks in their physical body language
Let the candidate talk. Notice the applicant’s speech voice undulation. The candidate’s voice undulation–or lack there of–will be important in choosing where to allot the candidate within the organization if hired.
End the interview on your terms and tell the candidate that you’ll be contacting him or her in 2 weeks if offered the position or not. Stick to your claim
