Working two jobs can be a good learning experience. By simultaneously working two jobs, you can learn more skills you can apply on future jobs. These skills can include social and leadership skills in addition to actual job skills.
Working extra can provide good exercise. If you work two jobs, you will likely be in good shape, especially if your jobs require physical labor or a lot of standing or walking around.
Do you have a wife who is expecting kids? Are you uncomfortable with your kids spending most of the day at a daycare center while you and your wife both work? If you have two jobs, with at least one being a full-time job, you can enable your wife to stay home with the kids.
Having two jobs can provide a good social experience. You can make new friends by working an extra job.
Do you want to have something special like a big screen television? Having a full-time job and a part-time job should provide you the buying power to get almost anything you want.

Good article, it’s worth mentioning that many jobs are worth hanging onto if they provide nice insurance benefits even if they’re not really providing the hours you need. A friend of mine works about six hours at Starbucks every week but keeps the job for the great health insurance.

Ilove having 2 part-time jobs that I enjoy much better than 1 which I had zero passion for. I even find time for a third job writing for a local newspaper- all because I am happier now and eager to do what I love, not what I went to college for- looking only at the $ back then.
