Even if the task requires you to put much time at work, you should sacrifice your social hours by completing the task on time so as to show your commitment and capabilities to the workplace you are working for. In this matter, it is important to take note that you should not compromise the quality of your work in order to rush to meet the deadline. If you are unable to complete it timely, request a few more days politely from your employer and be honest and explain your situation clearly.
