How to Cope with Career Failure
Are you depressed about a failing career? Well, do not be depressed, not now! Here are some career fitness tips that can be of great help to you at your job, and still you can enjoy both your career and personal life!
Guide Your Achievement by Setting Realistic Goals
Do not let yourself sink into a boring career life without organization, direction, and purpose. Determine what you want to achieve and then feel good about getting it done. Set a realistic plan like a four-year-plan with you yourself having commitment to revise it on an annual basis. This is because life circumstances are often changeable and unpredictable.
Cultivate Meaningful Changing Things for Yourself
Do not depend entirely on others to stimulate you. If you want to keep your life growing and interesting, you should by all attempt to create a challenging and meaningful to-do-list and then do it all the time. Look for other areas of your personal development that can be changed, if you find your routine office work boring. Develop a new hobby, interest, or sport if you find your life outside work boring, routine and unattractive.
Do Not Compete with Others but Compete with Yourself
It is in fact unhealthy to compete with others. To secure your self-worth, you should never compare your performance with others in an effort to measure up another’s performance. It is always advisable to make decision (s) based upon what is good for you to keep up.
Learn From Your Failure and Setbacks
If you cannot handle your failure, it will be extremely hard to be successful in your career life. The fundamental key here is not to take the failure personally as you will lose many opportunities of learning from these failure and setbacks by dwelling on the failure rather than what it will take to improve and learn from the setback.
Do Not Work For Others but Yourself
Regardless of who provides your pay cheque, you should always be psychologically working for yourself or self-employed. Try not to work only for money alone as you will not get job satisfaction in your life. So, do not let the money rule your life because monetary rewards will eventually obstruct you from pursuing what you love to do. Instead, set your inner satisfaction of learning to gain the utmost fulfillment by showing quality value into your work. That is how you can help yourself continuously to stay motivated.

Good article. Chan as I said before I don’t enjoy being a nurse any longer but at my age I don’t want to train for another career. Plus I would have to make what I make as a nurse to live as we do and pay all our bills. So I will continue to be a nurse until I can retire in a few years.
