The easiest way to get an office job is to employ the services of an employment agency. Be ware of the employment agencies that want you to pay a fee for their services. You are in the market to get paid and not to pay an employment agency for a service that you could really apply for yourself online.

Step One: Get referrals from other employed at the company that you would like to work. Ask them how did they get their job and let them know that you are in the market for a job. Network online as well as offline so that you can get an office job sooner than thirty days after unemployment. If these employed people got their jobs through an employment agency, ask for the name of the company and ask if you can use their name as a referral. Before using referrals always ask permission so that they can be prepared to help you to secure the office or clerical job with a good appraisal.

Step Two: Use the state employment agency that because of state funds are not allowed to charge a fee for its services. Although most people seem to use the employment agency to process claims for unemployment insurance, there are other uses for the state employment companies. There are job listings posted and there are employment counselors who can help you to get an office or a clerical job.

Step Three: As you travel to your essential places, be on the look out for signs on construction sites and contact centers that says “Now Hiring.” These companies more often than not will accept walk in applicants which is better than getting lost in the sea of resumes on the Internet job boards and job sites
