How to Secure Your Dream Job

This article is written to address a particular segment of people who feels the strong desire to work their dream job. My wish for you, anyway, is to secure that dream job, save as much as you can in less time and launch your “dream” business in record time. There is nothing compared to being an Employer of Labor, Chief Executive Officer of your company and having the unquantifiable freedom to do things at your own pace.

But as starters, you must work in order to garner the requisite knowledge, skill, experience, finance and human network to successfully succeed as an entrepreneur. Otherwise the failure as an entrepreneur could be fatal.

Let’s get down to the basics. Securing your dream job require a system like every other ventures in life. You get to put everything in place for things to be in place. No right thinking employer will ever employ a prospective applicant based on sentiments or emotions. All employers set up businesses with an intention to make profit. Making profits require an intelligent mix of the 5Ms (Materials, Machines, Money, Men, Methods.) Of these 5Ms, employers place more premium on the “Men” factor. EXPERIENCE

This is the process of gaining knowledge or skill over a period of time through “seeing and doing” things rather than through studying.

NATIVE ABILITY

This is the natural or acquired tendency to be able to do things well and as it should be done. Like I always admonish, “If you are not cut out to doing things well, cut yourself out to doing it well.” Yes, with passion you can be what you want to be.

The foregoing is prerequisite to securing your dream job. If you don’t have any of them, acquire it. But there is a “CAVEAT” here!

You can have all the above qualities in your favor and still flounder in your job interview. Something must be missing!
