A firm handshake is something that shows that you are confident and confidence is something that gives a favorable first impression. Maintaining eye contact throughout the interview is also a great indicator of confidence. There are just many times where a lack of eye contact automatically indicates that you are untrustworthy to a certain degree. Employers are not rather fond about hiring individuals who appear untrustworthy, due to the fact that they might be a liability that a company can ill afford.
