Job Searchers Beware
Job web sites.
I have been searching employment web sites for months. For the life of me I could not understand why I was not getting any responses from hundreds of online applications through job sites. Today I am searching on snag-a-job and I see all these posted one hour ago jobs at my local drug store. I go into the site and it directs me to the company web site, half way through the site has an internal failure and nothing was completed or sent. The snag-a-job site had already emailed me that my application was submitted. It was not completed or submitted.
I call the manager of the drug store to find out that he has not had any opening in over a year. The manager can not explain why the company web site has these jobs available. I figure that these jobs have been on the company website for along time, and the secondary sites are just pulling the jobs like they are new, probably to fill up their site with pretend jobs.
I am done, I am not using any secondary sites, I will look at Monster.com and see if any thing is real, or only use a direct company website for open and dated positions.
I have been finished with my unemployment claim that was a shrunken claim covering only a few weeks, and I heard that there may be no extension approved by President Bush. I may have to wait it out until January 20 th or later to find some help. I live in Florida and it is in bad shape.
I also heard that unemployed people may have to open up any type of business to earn money, that is what I will have to do. I have never in my life time experienced what is going on now with our economy. It is a Global problem as well.
Good luck searching!
