Tips

  • Always prepare a resume for a particular job. Do not use the exact same one for every position applying for.
  • Do your research on every company that you apply for. Knowing fine details about the company will set you above the other interviewers.
  • Keep your resume brief, concise and to the point and never have more than two pages.
  • Focus on what the employer wants to know about and what you can bring to their organization.
  • Proofread it over and over again. Allow others to proof read it.
  • Keep it updated even when no changes are necessary.
  • Keep it clean and put the most important information closer to the top of the resume.
  • Use good quality white plain paper.
  • Experiment with your resume. If the job that you are applying for is more of an education qualification based position then put your education closer to the top for easy viewing.
