Getting a job in the food industry or a restaurant job is easy as opening up the classified ads and looking under "restaurant."

Step One:   Do not look at the daily newspaper because the Sunday paper is an extensive listing of jobs in the food industry or restaurant jobs.  Restaurant jobs includes servers, chefs, cooks waiters and waitresses.  If you do not use print media, craigslist listings in your area of the country have job listings for the food industry.

Step Two:  Hit the pavement and visit restaurants in your local area preferably within walking distance to help you save money on gas.  Restaurants are the employment of choice when the unemployment rates reaches 9.7%.  You can not be choicy and the food industry is very lucrative.  Restaurants accept walk ins and not you do not have to be concerned with being lost on the job boards that are myriad on line.

Step Three:  Ask a friend or familyl member who may be employed by restaurants.  They may know of job openings in the restaurants where they are employed.  Networking offline with present and former workers in the food industry could land you a job in a restaurant.
