Working From Home
The struggles of trying to work at home to survive and provide for your family.
I am a 21 year old mother of a toddler and a wife. My husband is the main bread winner in the household and some times that can be equivalent to having all the weight of the world on your shoulders. I have tried to get a regular 9-5 in the corporate world but unfortunately there’s usually a lack of qualified baby sitters or a baby sitter who’s schedule doesn’t suit your every day work life. Besides we all know that some times paying for child care can be costly. What ever the reason my job search always leads me to the hope that I can become a successful “work at home” mom some day. Every parents worry is financial stability for their family.
I have probably been searching for a home based job for about 1 year and have found my search to be unlucky. Watching the bills stack up is no longer an option…and my search to bring the bacon home and relieve my financial stresses is far from over.I have done everything from paid surveys to starting a home based business. Unfortunately most paid survey companies don’t really offer you a lot of money and it never adds up to a check considering the fact that all you get paid is $.10 per email or $.50 for each survey completed (if you qualify for the survey listed). At that rate, even if you committed your self completely you would never get a check because here’s the catch: in fine print it’ll say that you would need to make a certain amount before you can request a payment ($25 or more).
As mentioned earlier I have also tried the home based businesses. I have applied my self to so many in hopes that it could Finlay be my big break. In fact all I did was sacrifice money my family didn’t have just to wined up losing it all to a scam. I am a firm believerthat you must spend money to make money…but the truth is that the money most of these companies are asking for in return is sometimes too much to gamble. I have seen companies asking for over $300 for their businesses…and of course if I had that kind of money I wouldn’t be looking for a job right now would I?!
I have also looked into other more realistic paying home jobs that were XXX/ adult industry jobs like PSO or Text Chat Operator jobs and the truth is that most companies are really not worth you scooping so low for. You might think…”YES AN EASY WAY TO BE AT HOME WITH MY CHILDREN AND STILL MAKE MORE THEN ENOUGH TO SUPPORT OURSELVES!”Well if you had this thought in mind…you’re wrong. Most companies will pay you $.30 per message with their customers and it might sound like a lot, but the truth is at the end of the week when you have put 60-80 hours of work and receive a $15 pay check you’ll feel worst then what you felt for applying to that kind of job. Some companies are scandalous enough to never pay you.I have an associate who went through this and is now fighting back to get the $2000 she worked so hard for.Although I am not knocking this kind of job, I am saying that if degrading yourself for money is not something you could handle then you shouldn’t go out your way by accepting an adult industry based job because the pay is not at all what its cracked up to be.
I have done so much research on different work at home opportunities and all have failed my expectations.I just hope that one day a home maker such as myself has the oppertunity to make a real home based job for moms like myself that are desperately striving to survive. One that is gimmick free and free of charge. My advice to the wanna be work at home mothers like myself struggling to make ends meet and looking for a solution is to look out for scams and dont give away any money. After all, would you pay a manager interviewing you in the real world to give you a job?
