Wondering if we did the right thing?

When the world first heard of “the credit crunch” first reactions were to wonder whose fault it was.

The governments of the western world stood back in awe and puzzlement.

Meanwhile the bankers crept into their dark dirty hideaways and cried out from the dark “please help us we have been tricked and taken for a ride”

The main trouble was caused by sheer greed from the insurance and banking sector who between them had devised a system where nobody actually made anything, all they did was buy and sell money. (A trade that quite a few Grifters as they were known in the old day soon took advantage of.

The prime idiot of Britain Mr Gordon Brown came up with a marvelous idea of bailing out the banks to stabilise the economy a move which was soon followed by most leaders of the so called civilised first world.(just a thought here…many countries are referred to as third world nations… who are the second tear?)

The problem I and many others had with this idea was that we were just pouring money into the hands of the very same people who created the problem and telling them to sort it out?

After all of this money going in and out of bankers hands what have we now got?

Banks who have money but will not lend it.

Companies who need money to stay in business but cannot get it.

Massive unemployment causing more strain for those paying taxes.

Massive national debt because we underwrote the losses made by the banks then gave them the same amount again to keep hold of without having to pay it back.

Imagine if we had not followed Mr Browns one stop cure all finance package, what would we have today?

Fewer banks who have money but are unwilling to lend it.

Companies who need money to stay in business getting a helping hand with tax breaks and interest free loans from the government.

Fewer unemployed resulting in a bigger contribution to the exchequer resulting in lower taxes for all.

The only difference between both scenarios is the loss of some bankers/money sharks.

WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN SUCH A BAD THING?
