Something historic happened today. This afternoon, the DJIA dropped almost 1000 points before regaining some.

WOW! My head hurts from all of the excitement today! I could write 10 articles on why today was exciting, scary, expected, hilarious, thrilling and so long over due. But I won’t, I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.

Okay, let me preface this all by saying that I’m a firm believer that our stock market is manipulated to the extreme.  I believe today was an accident in the midst of a very propped up market.  For a very brief amount of time today, there was total chaos and panic. Just in case you missed it, this afternoon, when the DJIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average) was already down, it crashed hard and really fast until it lost nearly 1000 points before it started to recover.

What happened in the stock market today, reaffirmed the way many people feel right now. We are all living on the edge of sanity with our hands on the button. The sell button, in this case. Today proved that no matter how much the mainstream media tells people, “everything is OK, everything is getting better”, we are NOT buying it. When the Dow started to plummet today, people were not trying to buy low (from what I can tell), they just wanted out or wanted gold. There are rumors that at the time of the free fall, there was no gold to be purchased, from anywhere, at any price.

Well then. So the truth is out. We are playing a game that we have no faith in but are desperately trying to play anyway. Its time for truth, I think today was a good day. I was wondering when those fools (news media) would start covering the situation in Greece, and today, they finally did. Our markets should be very volatile based on what is going down in Europe right now, but I can’t help but think they used the riot footage to distract from the Dow dropping nearly 1000 points (despite it being part of the REASON it dropped). While they showed the riot footage, they kept repeating how America is not Greece. OK, thanks for reassuring me, bobble heads. I’m so utterly reassured.

So, to wrap this up, I just wanted to mention (if this gets published in time) to watch foreign markets tonight. The Nikkei futures are down. This could be an interesting Thursday night…
