Google: Will This Mighty Company Give Free Wireless to the Entire World?
We know that Google has more computing power than anyone else but could this company provide the entire world with free internet access?
Google could launch a couple of satellites and give the world free wireless access so they could have more internet users. The world has something like 1.5 Billion internet users and this number increases by as much as 40% a year.
If Google considers free internet to the entire world, that would be a least the double of the users the internet would have. Since search is the second most used online tool and Google is the king of search, that would be 3 Billion users that could use Google to search for any kind of information.
Some companies would start lawsuits against Google. Internet ISP would be the first ones. Those companies would see a real low in their revenues and profits. I must say I would be happy to see that because they provide a bad service for a very high price.
Privacy would be another thing to be even more concerned about. Since Google already keeps so much information about you, now with internet Google could see and log every single site you visit so they could know even more about you and give you even better targeted advertisements, increasing their profits even more.
Why isn’t Google doing this yet? Honestly I do not know why, but I suspect that is because of initial costs and maintenance required to keep things going.
In Mountain View people already have free internet.

Hey I really wish we all did have free internet it would be so nice ( i live out in the country) to have wireless internet available away from my home.
The reason they aren’t doing it is because “launching a couple of satellites” isn’t as easy as it seems.
That would be totally awesome, but satelites that are launched need to be monitored, paid for as well.
