One of the most visited websites these days is youtube. The multi billion dollar company was bought buy google a few years back. Today, one of the most popular ways to make money online is through the youtube partner program. The question is how much do youtube partners make? Here are some answers.
Video views: Youtube partners will make $2.5 to $5 per 1000 video views The most popular stars will earn $5 per 1000 views. This can really add up if you have 1 million views per video. Nigahiga for example, will earn $5000 per video they put up.
Subscribers: A youtube partner will get paid $.05 per subscriber. If a person has 100,000 subscribers for example, they they will have made $5000.
Channel views: A youtube partner will make $.01 per channel view. If a channel has 1,000,000 channel views, the person will make $10,000.
There are many other ways youtube partners make money like through ads and sponsers. These are just 3 general ways they make money. In order to become a youtube partner, you best have atleast 2000 subscribers, 50,000 channel views, and 1000 views per video.

This is a bunch of garbage and not true.
Yeah I’m skeptical of these figures too. It’s still obvious that YouTube gets tons of advertising revenue, though, and that their advertisers must do pretty well. For my small business, however, I do make sure that my videos are not only on YouTube but other sites as well, like Vimeo and AdWido.
It seems to me that all articles on the earnings of YouTube Partners is guess work, I have never yet read a report which is correct and I have looked at many, as a top UK partner myself I know exactly to the penny my earnings every day thanks to Adsense. When I was asked to become a Partner in April 2008 I thought I would be lucky to make $100 (we were paid in $ at that time) However I am now totally free of all credit cards, the loans on our cars and in 12 months my house mortgage which had fifteen years to go will be cleared and best of all my wife has agreed that I can then jack my job and just make videos for Youtube and spend a lot of time with my kids there is a God

I AM a youtube partner and not one of these figure are correct. I cant figure it out. I get 1000 views and one day I make .03 cents per 1000 sometimes i get 2 dollars. it all depends of what the advertisers are willing to pay per video.

@captainfury2007: I just checked out your Youtube channel, and you don’t meet all the above-mentioned criteria. Most of your videos (or at least a good deal of them) have fewer than 1000 views, so you probably aren’t making as much as the top-rated Youtube partners. (Nigahiga, Fred, etc.)
No offense intended, but your earnings, compared to those mentioned in the article above, seem appropriate to your total Youtube stats. If you’re not one of the top-tier Youtube accounts, you probably won’t earn as much.

Im a partner and I will not speak my name but I make a lot more than these numbers and I have more going on than just YouTube and so does every other partner.
You’re lucky to get $1 per 1000 views
Nobody gets paid per channel view, video view or subscriber, all you get is a share of the click through revenues
Therefore you can have 1000 views and earn $5.00 *IF* one in a hundred viewers click through to the ad on your video, equally you can have 1000 views and earn $0.05 if only 1 viewer clicks the ad
You can see by the “quality” of most advertisers that they aren’t paying much per click, a lot of them are even spyware farms that lure young kids into “Cartoonizing” themselves in order to take over their browser and search bar
SMP films has been rumoured to make $10,000 per month and has even suggested that himself, I very much doubt that this is true looking at his overall stats, his viewers would all have to click through ads on each of his videos, his main source of revenue could be from product placements he does within his Youtube video ( Kevin NALTS Nalty is good at this ) and from making advertising videos for his personal corporate sponsors
If Youtube were really paying these guys as much as this article suggests Nalts would have quit his day job years ago and he wouldn’t have had to look at these other more lucrative ways to MONETIZE his youtube videos by cuttuing them out of the revenue loop, also Weblebrity and dethroned king of Youtube Paul Renetto Robinet would have shown a lot more enthusiam for making a buck off his once chart topping subscriber base instead of going off and vlogging on some weired NING vlogger site
No one will really know untill they become a partner and become a successful video uploader. Shane Dawson is doing very very well and is paying his huge 2 bedroom house with a pool and all his expenses with his youtube pay. hes living off youtube alone. Youtube is his job and income. And it is actually estimated that you earn $800.00 per 1 million views, which does make much more sense. Youtube pays well if you ask me. You just have to work hard.

If the stats are correct, then why is Shay Carl moving back to Idaho because the rent in LA is too expensive??
He has ’shaytards’, ‘katilette’, ’shaycarl’, ’shayloss’, and ‘thestation’ and ‘thestation2′, which generate MILLIONS of views. Heck, each shaytard video he uploads gets up to at least 300,000 views or more in a week!!

Yes, YouTube pays well, but definitely not what is stated in this ‘report/article’.
The key thing is, you must work extremely hard and for a VERY long time in order to get there, to the point of making a lot of money from this.
But hey, if I became a youtube partner, I wouldn’t mind getting $1,000 a month. I could definitely live off of that, and if I work hard, it can only get higher and better =)
I’m a youtube partner. I dont make enough to quit my job. In Feb 2010 I made $800.00 off my youtube video views. I got around 600,000 views to make this amount. Partners get paid 2 ways. You get paid for clicks on ads and every 1000 ad impressions you get paid a certain amount. It depends on what the cost per 1000 ad impressions is that day. Partners can only track earnings for the adsense for content host in their adsense accounts. The youtube video view money is posted the following month. So what I made from youtube in feb off videos views will be added to the adsense for content host amount I make in March 2010. I will get that check in April.It will be over $1,000 before taxes. I wont say who I am but I have a music channel on youtube

The numbers are correct. Everybody here knocking the program are just angry they can’t become a partner or they are trolls. Plain and simple. We make money as partners and it is good money if you work your way up. The more views and subscribers = $$$. Obviously the guys on top make more than the guys on the bottom. That is life. Trolls get a job. Wannabees get a life.

I am a youtube partner and this is completly wrong for one we can get anywhere from .01 to $25 per 1000 views. also we do not get paid per subscriber or channel views. we only get paid for our video ads
right, CyberAceTV is correct. I am a partner also and it really just depends. There are not ‘hard numbers’.

I personally know nigahiga. Thought I don\\\’t ask how much he makes but what I do know is that he will never ever starve or shop at 4 for less. Numbers can be true depending on who you are and how much traffic you get. Advertisers will pay more knowing this person generates a million views in 3 days or so. I would believe Ryan would make an easy 100k a year. I however have only made 10 bucks so far. That\\\’s 80 cents or so per 1000 views. I\\\’ll check my adsense next month. I\\\’m better off whoring myself out to 10 phat chicks.
