Recently, McDonald’s has been advertising their new “McCafe” line of coffees and such.

One would think that McCafe is an OK idea because, it is actually moderately convenient and cheap for some (excluding me). The real problem is that Starbucks is going to have to do something to keep up. People have already established their hangout place, but now they have to choose between great taste and inviting comfort. Starbucks’ assorted caffeine products now have to compete with McCafe’s coffee, freshly brewed amongst delicious McNuggets. Don’t worry, McDonalds has got their bases covered.

As well as the addition of McCafe products, McDonalds has recently installed some abstract decor and cushioned chairs in their restaurant. People can now relax in the same manner as they could at Starbucks, without having to choose between a Deoxyribonucleaccino or a nice McCafe Latte. No longer will  you have to choke down a scone paired with your coffee; a tasty fried apple pie is just seconds away from being ordered with your morning refreshment. I’m not sure about others, but I always disliked the fact that Starbucks lacked a refreshing fried food aroma.

Hopefully, people will make the switch soon because, I’d love to be able to see my typical plump and quiet McDonalds friends as well as friendly teenagers. Particularly, the teenagers that wear impressively tight jeans and fierce eyeliner are the ones I’m speaking of. I could go on for another couple pages about how much I love unevenly cut and high contrast dyed hair, but I’ll save that for another day. What I want my readers to keep in their minds after reading this is: when you get those chicken nuggets, make sure you have something refreshingly caffeinated to dip them in.
