Walmart: A Monopoly to Be
The dangers but yet success of Wal Mart.
Monopoly- A situation in which a single company owns all or nearly all of the market for a given type of product or service.

Ah the joys of the modern world. When is it possible not to see a Walmart? There is one in every little city you drive through and if you haven’t noticed there is nothing else.
Behind Microsoft, Walmart is the most successful corporation of all time. Mr Wally Walmart is 50 billion dollars poor, and that number increases with each passing day, with each competition store that is closed down.
Think
Think about your shopping life. When you want to head to a department store your two choices are, lets say, Target and Walmart. You go into Target and you could easily count the number of people present in the store, they probably have 2 or 3 registers open cause that’s all they need. Now, think of your local Walmart, you’d be lost counting the people, just because the prices are dirt cheap only because Walmart controls the prices of those items, which will eventually ruin your local Target because they cannot compete with the seniority of the Walmart.
It seems these days Walmart sells just about everything imaginable. I ventured over one day to my neighbor hood market Walmart, which just sells food, (I went only because they ran the Walgreen’s out of business) and they were giving flu shots. In this same Walmart they have a bank and an eye glasses place.
It seems everywhere you turn there is a Walmart. The government will eventually get involved in their corporation but until then Walmart is taking over.

No Target stores where I am.. but yes we have WalMart..
people LET WalMart take over and I can assure you their prices are NOT always lower. I used to own a store, my prices were lower than WalMart because I had lower over head (it was a small pet supply store)…
anyhow I heard that WalMart tells many of the companies they buy from how much they will pay for certain products… either these companies make and sell their products cheaper to Walmart or Walmart gets another supplier. so when you notice a difference in your laundry detergent if it comes from WalMart or someplace else for the same brand this is why..
people are letting them take over..
how long before prices go up when they are the only place to turn?
Walmart would be the BEST if it was in New York. That is why it is not in New york because it would put all of the other businesses out of business lol. Great write Little.
It’s a good testimony of success, what Walmart is today. Monopoly is a reality of business. Thanks for this nice write up. Good work.
I know what Wal Mart is but not living in America, I can’t really explain much about it though from what you say in this article, it reminds me of Tesco and Asda in the UK…I think places like Wal Mart make amazing profits because like you said they sell everything but like Athena said, that is what wise business is and that is what capsulates the reality of the biz world.
