When the company wants you,they tell you to love the company and company takes care of you. When company under goes tougher times, then they look for all methods to throw you out.
You may proud to attach name with your company. Sit extra hours to meet the targets. Missed all functions in the name of company travel. At last when the crisis looms, for profitability of the company you are being fired. Till that, your HR person adulated you and compared you with exemplary performance. When you are in the list of being fired, they used innovative methods ruthlessly to send you out.
Here are 10 methods adopted by some companies to fire their employees’ .All really happened and some cunning. This has taught the basic rule to all “Love your profession, not your company “.
Company 1: By lunchtime, all employees heard the siren of fire alarm. All vacated their offices and stood outside the gate for head count. They were anxious to know where the fire happened. Half an hour passed by .An announcement came from the HR department through public addressing system apologizing all for making them wait. Then the shocking news came. About 80% sacked and whose access card accepted can get inside the company. Others can go home with all arrears credited to their account.
Company 2: A message came to a set of employees through their personal computers indicating that they have been selected for a training program outside the company .All got inside the cab specially arranged for them. After it got fully occupied, an HR person came and informed them that they are fired.
Company 3: A poor chap suddenly went to his native place for meeting his pregnant wife at hospital. He returned back just to receive his Termination letter readily typed by his manager.
Company 4: The Company HR put a message to all employees .All has to work for 9.15 hours a day. Next day they put another one with a newer restriction, as no Saturdays and Sundays will be counted. After few weeks, all has to swipe their cards even when they go to company cafeteria. If an employee is not meeting the required work hours in a month they are served with a warning memo from HR department. Next is termination letter.
Company 5 : All in the team is rated according to the performance . If 10 members are in a team ,then all are rated with 10 points for the best and 1 for the worst performers. All these worst performers are segregated and dispatched to a training center at a far off place. There they are subjected to a small training and then a series of examinations .If they didn’t get the qualifying marks, they are out.
All these methods are not even considered the basic human qualities like love , care ,loyalty and trust .All consider a person a resource .If the resource generates revenue then he is in or else he is out . So, don’t go by the company. Love your profession and excel in it .You can survive anywhere in corporate jungle.
