Get It Done, Now
Do not take the responsibility from the employees, they can solve the problems. Give support, instead, “happy heckling” and let them resolve the case themselves. Give feedback when they do good instead of criticizing mistakes.

As leaders, you should be visible and avoid. “No” and “not” is the sad words that jumps out from your mouth too often, avoid! I myself had a boss who often asked: “Have you sold anything today?” Secure in the belief that this psyched me while it was a way to initiate a dialogue. Can honestly say that it failed every time! What words do you use yourself as a leader?
As leaders, you must be able to answer some essential questions to create a focus on the task. Like the children in the backseat asking ; Where are we? (vision, goals) When will we be there? (how to measure outcomes) Are we there yet? (where are we now).
Don`t stress while talking with employees. You must be here and now and be positive and happy. It is said that “hurry up” is the word that today’s children will hear the most. It is much easier to get something done with a smile and a positive attitude. One child (dog or employees!) That “cries” is strengthened by pity, but the support and assistance to cope with it. Get the problem where it is. The questions will help you to find the answers.
Make the case now. Do what is important now with once. For children there is no late. For adults, it is very often “I do tomorrow …” apply. I do when I retire. And tomorrow may be too late. This applies very much to managers who must get to grips with difficult things.
- How do you prioritize your life and work? What do you want? Why not now?
- What are you doing tomorrow?
“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is really about.” Angela Schwindt
