- Motivation is the main factor to retain an employee.

- Performance based incentives should be provided to the employee when the employee performs better than his peers or when he achieves a target.
- Incentives can also be in the forms of gifts and rewards. They need not be a huge amount. This gives a good feeling to the employee and makes him to stay in the company.
- Cordial relationship should be maintained with the employee to protect his self esteem and social dignity.
- Job flexibility can be provided to the employee by allowing him to work through telecommuting and Internet.
- The employees can be provided with transport and residential allowances.
