Management is an Art Form
Management as an art form that can be practiced by everyone. It is an on-going developing and maturing process.
Management is an art form not restricted to executives, managers, or supervisors. The practice of management principles takes effort to learn and to consistently apply. Consistent application develops growth and maturation in the art of management. The practice of management has an integral component called effectiveness. It is defined by Peter Drucker, management consultant, as doing the right job, knowing what needs to be done and when to do it.
The second component is efficiency which is simply doing the right job, the right way, at the right time, by the right person. Combining these elements is a component in the practice of management as an art form. The proper practice and execution of management process as an art form is open and applicable by anyone, anywhere, at any time. Management as a process can be a discipline as well as a way of life. Its elements can be used in our personal lives in order to become fruitful achievers.
