“Where the Bloody Hell Are Ya” Ad Review
This is a short review of an Aussie advertisement.
Australian Advertisement
The advertisement I like the most is the “Where the bloody hell are you” advertisement because it is really easy to understand and its vibrant and unsaturated colours make it easy to see. I chose it because it used typical Australian topics, such as “We kept the roos off the green” and because the ad makers had guts to put “Where the bloody hell are you” as their punch line and main theme of the ad.
The ad is not old and grainy, but sharp and clear and stands out a lot. The voices don’t mumble, they are clear and loud. The men get attracted to Lara Bingle in her bikini, but what attracted me was the use of the native animals. There were kangaroos, koalas but there were camels, who were introduced to Australia and are now pests. There was also some Aboriginal music in the background.
The setting of the ad is in different places. The setting is in the sea, the golf course, the beach and the desert. They are the real typical areas of Australia that tourists want to visit, which is really smart. This ad is very attractive and has excellent graphics, tone and colour. It is well set out, and the transition between scenes is not sudden, but smooth and really pleasant to see. It is a great ad, and it is an ad that I wouldn’t mind seeing over and over and over again.
“So where the Bloody Hell are you?”
