How can someone from the Philippines earn money online? This is one of the most popular questions I always see in forums. I hope this article has answered this question.

The recent economic crisis has affected not only the United States but the whole world.  May companies had to retrench almost half of their employees as orders and jobs went scarce.  The others had to lessen the daily wage of their employees just to keep the company afloat. This is a problem of the whole world now.  People whose jobs are in factories, IT industry and export processing were mostly affected.

The Philippines is lucky enough that the recent crisis has not affected the majority of the working sector.  Only those from the fields stated above were greatly affected. Teachers, call center agents, admin and operations employees, and those from entertainment industry to name a few, still report daily for work.  Though some retrenched individuals are showing their disappointment about the recent condition through rallies, majority are still eating their three (3) meals in a day.

The number of people who wants to work at home is increasing rapidly. One reason is due to the unstable economy while the others want to have freedom of their time, not being obliged to report for work eight (8) hours daily and without the demanding superiors, being able to be present at their family’s special events and also for financial freedom.  Earning money online may not be much at first but as you learn the different sides of the coin, the secrets to blogging successfully and earning money online, it can become a gold mine, much much more than how much you are getting in your day job.

So, how does one earn money online? I’ve written this article because many Filipinos want to earn money online. Yes, it doesn’t happen overnight but with hard work, it can be possible.

Google Adsense

One way to earn money online is by google adsense. Many people will tell me, “Yeah right. We already know that but adsense sucks.  It makes you earn pennies.” I can say yes at first, but once you learn which keywords rank higher in search engines, and you write about these words, search engines will crawl your blog and many people will visit it.  Traffic from search engines are targetted so most probably those visiting your site coming from them will click your ads. 

Paid Blog Reviews

Another is by paid blog reviews.  This is my highest moneymaker. Last month alone, I was able to earn more than $200 from them. Well, $200 is not that much yet compared to what the pros are earning but who will give me that amount for free ?  This earning comes only from one blog and since I learned already how to drive traffic to my site and which niches do attract more visits, I started to develop two (2) more blogs hoping I will get as many assignments as my first blog.  In order for a blog to be appoved and to get assignments, it has to be at least three (3) months old with active posting. You have to post at least 3 in a week. Join in blog communities to let the people know about your blog and submit your posts to social bookmarking sites.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing has also earned income to many bloggers online.  There are so many sites online offering affiliate marketing services like Clickbank, Commission Junction,  LinkShare, Friendfinder, etc.  You can search google with the keyword “Affiliate Marketing” and these sites will be flashed on the screen.

Article Writing

This is one of the most popular ways to make money online. You can submit your articles to blogging communities like Hubpages, Xomba, Senserely, PrintnPost, Associated Content, Squidoo and Triond, to name a few. For some communities, they ask you to submit your Google Publisher ID so google ads can be displayed while the others pay you through pageviews and affiliate sales commission.  This is a sure way to earn money online.  It may not be much at first but as you write more articles, the income oppotunity is endless.

Forum Posting

Forum posting is another way but earning money online from it is slower than the other ways above.  The secret though is to get more referrals as your earnings will become higher through referral earnings.
