There should be more associations for home based businesses that cater to their special needs. The 21st Century includes financial issues for many, but associations are established to help. They offer contests, benefits, and other perks that you can’t get on your own. The problem is, why is there so few for home based businesses? After all, more than half of all business started this way. For instance, Hershey’s Chocolate Factory started at home. They are a huge corporation today. So, if they would have lacked the financial and competitive advantages it could have eliminated them all together as a company.

Home based businesses seem to be overlooked, but with the layoffs, it will be more probable that people will start their own businesses. I suggest, anyone that wants to start a business, they should do a quick online check of associations to join. Typically, it translates in increased revenue for the company that joins. Therefore, it is socially and financially beneficial. Hopefully, people will seek some guidance from the SBA.Gov and other resources. Options are great and are what makes the United States powerful. Home based businesses are here to stay, and the market must start reflecting this niche market. In the meantime, there are a few options.
