Starting a Business in a Slow Economy
How to open a business in a slow economy.
Anytime you start a business, regardless of the economy, you need to make sure the product that you’re selling will actually sell to your customers. Be it a service or an item, it has to be likable or a necessity to be able to sell nowadays with our economy.
Like with me, my computer repair business, it’s getting harder to find people who want to buy one of the computers I built. But people who make money on the internet, or need it for communications, will go to me for repairs and upgrades. So in my line of business, wants don’t pay me very much. It’s the needs that do.
Think about it, tobacco companies, oil, electric and food companies are the richest in the world because they offer a product or a service that is a necessity to most people. So that’s what you need to do too. Find something that people need. Either in your neighborhood or through the Internet. Like a lot of people do.
For instance, if you live in a neighborhood where new homes are being built, then starting a cleaning business is a good idea. Talk to the homeowners; tell them that you’ll clean their homes before the new tenants move in. Charge fifty dollars and another ten dollars a bedroom. That’s good business.
Just look for something people need and you’ll do fine. Either for their homes to keep going or their businesses. Either way you can make money. And that’s the goal of owning your own business. There are a lot of businesses for children to do too. You can buy a copy of the book “Young Bucks” by Troy Dunn. It’s all about that. And it was a good read too. Thanks for reading.
