An entrepreneur’s journey is fraught with a lot of hardship. Entrepreneurship is not possible for everyone because of the way people approach work. That too the journey of a lone entrepreneur is very hard.

Some entrepreneurs start right out of their college. They believe that entrepreneurship is the chosen path and choose to do so. Some start late when they find an opportunity while employed. They might have graduated with a degree in management but they have the courage and the confidence to start their own business. But there some who are yet to start their entrepreneurship.

Between entrepreneurship and employment, lies the transition time for a person to switch from employment to entrepreneurship. People think it is all easy to do so from being an employee having earned some money. But for an employee it is even more hard because of the complex relations and obligations that he builds over time. It will be hard to change them overnight.

Some people start along with their friends or others who are interesting in the same domain that they wanted to start. Some start as lone entrepreneurs but still they share their journey with friends or close people.

There will be rare cases where you can find lone entrepreneur, literally alone in their journey. They cannot tell their plans to others for reasons that might deteriorate their short term course. They might have been trapped in a situation where it is hard to get out without having lot of courage.

It becomes very hard when you combine this with online entrepreneurship. Most of the online businesses today revolve around selling products that are created on their own, building a website or blog, writing online etc. But all these require popularity on the part of the person or high website traffic to convert them into profitable number of sales.

Imagine how hard it would be to be a single entrepreneur working everyday in the hope of crossing the break even barrier when your entrepreneur journey takes a lift up for a smooth journey. You are unable to share your thoughts or plans. May be you took too much of time already to learn something that now feels like just something. Sometimes you don’t see the results that you expected and suddenly it feels as if everything is lost.

Every day in the future looks as if it is insecure. Sometimes things start failing right when you felt that you found the key to success. Your courage, confidence, motivation, passion, ability etc. are all tested one at a time.

But there is one important virtue that is tested for an entrepreneur all of the time. That is hope. Every successful entrepreneur persisted in their journey even when all else failed simply because they never failed in their hope. The hope is one thing that is most needed in my entrepreneur journey right now. I have taken the decision and also willing to persist as a lone online entrepreneur under all testing circumstances, hoping against hoping.
